So, I have been planning Lizzie's fourth birthday this week and I was thinking how my life changes from year to year. Last year at this time she had two friends that she wanted to invite to her party, this year we had to put a limit at eight, sorry but I don't know if I can handle more than eight four year olds at one time.
I then began to think of all of the things that I love right now, at the ripe old age of thirty-one with three kids.
Things that make me happy:
Seeing the Red Sox win!!!
Walking in the morning with my friends and kids to school
Watching Sam kick butt in soccer (is it bad that I am happy when she 'checks' another girl hard?)
Listening to Trey practice cello (the boy has a gift I think)
Eavsdropping on Lizzie play pretend with her friends
Seeing Steve act like a little boy when he gets on his motorcycle
Doing Yoga
Looking at my new house and thinking how great it is
Taking a bath in my Jaccuzzi tub (when all the kids are at school)
Bed time
Looking out my kitchen window and seeing Pikes Peak everyday (I LOVE being back in the mountains)
teaching my sunbeams on Sunday, never a dull moment!!
Talking to my sisters
Hearing my parents voice on the other end of the phone
Having eleven kids from the neighborhood at my house and having a great time
Being close to Mark and Christy and the kids
Knowing I don't have to get the kids ready for church Sunday, don't you love Conference weekend?
Green lights when the kids are ten minutes late to soccer practice
Taking Lizzie to get her shots and have her not even bat an eye (she is one tough cookie)
Watching Brazil women loose the World Cup game (even if it wasn't the US, at least it wasn't Brazil!!)
The Patriots are winning, was there any doubt?
Having great friends around me everywhere

What a great list! Such a great idea. I find myself late for things more often than I'd like to admit, so I love green lights too!

I'm pretty darn jealous of the bath with no kids home!!! My time will come, right???

Why is it that everyone's blogs are all about sports? What family am I from? Oh, wait... Julie is in my family! We're scared of balls so we prefer to just not get near them or watch anyone else do so. It's safer that way. I'm scared of girls who check in soccer. They hurt!

Paula it was so fun to read your blog. I can't believe how big your kids are. They are beautiful. It was fun to read all the things you are loving. I am jealous you are close to the mountains.

Just for the record, I'm not scared of balls, I'm scared of the force behind the ball that is coming straight for me being trailed by a brutish (wo)man, there is a difference with that, right?
